Schönbrunn Palace Tickets + Tourist Train
Activity Details
The Schönbrunn tourist train departs from Panoramabahn Station 1, in the Crown Prince Garden, at the scheduled time. Take a seat and make yourselves comfortable!
We'll travel through the majestic park of Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburgs, to get a panoramic view of the beautiful gardens from the train. You'll see its elegant fountains, groves of trees and wide avenues where carriages used to be pulled.
The Schönbrunn sightseeing train ride continues on to the Gloriette at the top of the park's hill. From here you can enjoy spectacular views of the palace and the whole area and come to understand why it was one of Empress Sissi's favourite destinations!
The journey on the tourist train lasts 45 minutes and has a total of 9 stops, where you can hop on and off as many times as you like to explore the park at your own pace!
The highlight of the tour will come at the end of the scenic train ride, when you’ll have access to Schönbrunn Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With your ticket, you can explore the various halls and rooms of this incredible Baroque palace at your own pace. Did you know it’s known as the “Viennese Versailles”? Throughout your tour, you’ll enjoy the opulence of the Habsburgs’ former summer residence, discovering the Rococo style that decorates all its rooms thanks to the audio guide provided. Don’t miss the Blue Chinese Salon, the Breakfast Room, or the Grand Gallery. The tour lasts approximately 50 minutes.
