Join us to discover the essence of the Dominican Republic on this guided tour of Nuevo Domingo Savio, one of Santo Domingo's most authentic neighbourhoods. You'll feel like a local!
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Eduardo Brito metro station, on Avenida Francisco del Rosario Sánchez. From this meeting point, we'll start this guided tour of Nuevo Domingo Savio in which we'll visit the two neighbourhoods that compose it: La Ciénaga and Los Guandules.
First, we'll visit a market, where you'll be able to observe the energy of the vendors and shoppers in their daily routine. Next, we'll pass by local shops and soak up the neighbourhood tradition by enjoying an authentic Dominican breakfast. Fancy trying something new?
Next, we'll explore a typical Dominican house and have a delicious ice cream. We'll also see the welcome sign of Gualey, an iconic spot where you can meet locals and learn more about their history and culture—you'll be amazed by the warmth and hospitality of the locals!
The tour will continue with a trip on the Santo Domingo cable car, which offers spectacular views of its colourful neighbourhoods from above. From the National District to the north of Santo Domingo, you'll be able to appreciate the urban landscape and learn about the history of these emblematic places.
Finally, we'll round off the experience with a drink just before concluding our 4-hour tour at the meeting point.
