Discover Tarifa, Vejer de la Frontera, and Baelo Claudia on this day trip from San Fernando. A must-do route through the beautiful province of Cádiz!
Day Trip Details
We'll set off at the designated time from the Monument to Communication in San Fernando.
Our first stop is Vejer de la Frontera, where we'll take a guided walk to see its Plaza de España and its spectacular medieval walls.
In Roman times, this part of southern Spain was famous for its salted fish. We'll learn all about it at our next stop, the archaeological site of Baelo Claudia. At this ancient settlement, perched above Bolonia Beach, we'll discover how garum, the Romans' favorite sauce, was made.
We'll continue on to Tarifa. In this town on the Strait of Gibraltar, the southernmost in Western Europe, we'll give you 2 hours of free time so you can buy some lunch and see the outside of landmarks like the Puerta de Jerez, the Church of San Francisco de Asís, and the Castle of Guzmán el Bueno.
Finally, we'll head back to the starting point in San Fernando, arriving 7 hours after pickup.
